Presentation of the Restaurant Adanič
The Restaurant Adanič is located in the north-eastern
part of Slovenia, between Gornja Radgona and the thermal spa Radenci,
in the small village of Mele. It was built in 1971 and managed successfully
by Cvetka Adanič until her retirement. The locals used to call it
“Cvetka’s restaurant” and the name was preserved until today.
In 1992, her daughter Marjana Kramberger took over the restaurant,
renovated it and had a new kitchen as well as a new restaurant built.
Thus she created a modern Slovenian restaurant with a wide range
of authentically Slovenian dishes as well as other, modern dishes
a la carte required by modern guests. A specialty of the restaurant
Adanič is extremely good salads that guests can select from the
rich salad bar and of course the national Slovenian dish – dumplings.
These were prepared together with the chef Mr Janez Štrukelj, whom
we also assisted in the preparation of his book “Štruklji za vsak
okus” (“Dumplings for everyone”), issued by the publishing house
ČZD Kmečki glas d.o.o., Ljubljana which you can buy in all bookstores.
Some of the dumplings in the abovementioned book were made and photographed
in our restaurant. Mr Štrukelj is always prepared to help us by
giving advice and carefully supervising the quality of dishes prepared
and offered in our restaurant. We would like to take the opportunity
and thank him for everything he has done for us!
In the indoor part of the restaurant, there is room for 78 guests,
a separated room for non-smokers where 6 people can sit, a bar for
20 persons and during the summer there is the terrace that can offer
shadow to 30 people. There are numerous transitional guests on their
way from Hungary towards Italy, a few tourists from the thermal
spas in the neighbourhood (Radenci, Moravske Toplice, Banovci, Lendava,
as well as Bad Radkersburg and Bad Gleichenberg in Austria), while
the majority of our guests are local people who know how to appreciate
good food and excellent service.
